The images above show my work "Do you speak the universal language" (2019) installed in the install rooms.
Reflection: For weeks, I have been thinking about how I would wanna install this and Krunglevicius' Confessions (shown below) inspired me to install it this way. I would much rather use an older television for this, however, with the time constraints that I have I was not able to find one. In addition to this, the use of television in this context also reinforce the idea of the 'universal'.
As people look at this video installation, most of them have tried to read the words as they come up, which is something I did not really thought of when I was editing this video. As a result, one critic I've had was to slow some of it down as each frame only lasts for about 3 seconds and some people have trouble reading some of it.
