Form/Process: This week, I have started learning about an ancient scripture used by Indigenous Filipino called "Baybayin".
Content: Baybayin was primarily used by native Filipinos until the Spanish took over, destroying and erasing this writing style from their culture. However Filipinos found a way to preserve it, bearing alterations from generation to generation to what we know now as the modern version of the scripture.

Modern Baybayin
Form/Process: After learning how to write each character, I started practicing with it more by writing my friends' names (left). I then wrote a nice sentence on the right which translates to, "My love is a planet revolving your heart."
I specifically decided to write these on a sticky tape and stick it on to the wall because I like the simplistic and ephemeral quality of the material.
