This week, we had a gallery task and I was able to experiment different ways to install my work, Lost in Translation (2019).
I first had them on the floor, leaning like this:
I thought it looked fine, and almost resembles tombstones which supports its symbolic meaning. However, Sandra encouraged me to try another way of installing it just to see how it looks.

I then went to the workshop and after having a consultation with Wayne, we've decided that we're gonna make a french cleat as a way to install it on the walls, which looked a bit like this:
The glue that we used said that it should be all set after 30 minutes so I tried to install it after. Although, when they were all hanged they just started slipping down because apparently the glue needed to cure. At this point I was very frustrated and just wanted to go back to my original idea but Sandra helped me come up with another solution. We did screw some nails on the wall and had the pieces leaning on the wall. At the end of the day, I was pretty happy with how it turned out especially with the time constraints and mistakes I've had along the way.
