I spent the start of this week sanding and spray painting my new work Coercion (2019), getting it ready for our exhibition install task.

TESTING THE COLOUR. I REALLY LIKED THIS SHADE OF RED (CHERRY BLOSSOM). I ALSO LIKED THE MARK IT LEFT ON THE PAPER UNDERNEATH.

FIRST COAT

THIRD COAT. I REALLY LIKE HOW INTENSE THE RED LOOKS, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE ARE ALL LAID DOWN TOGETHER.

MARKS I MADE ON THE PAPER UNDERNEATH. I THINK THE GRAFFITI ASPECT OF THIS IS SOMETHING I COULD EXPLORE EVEN MORE AND MAKE INTO A NEW WORK.

This is the final work installed at Frank Moran. It was very challenging trying to get the characters levelled on to the wall but I used the MDF sheets they were cut from to guide me.
I spent the rest of this week collecting more historical paintings for my "No Strings Attached" series. These 6 images complete this series together with the first 4 I had earlier. In addition to this, I have also decided to pause from learning and experimenting how AR (SPARK) works as it's been very time consuming trying to watch long video tutorials and trying it myself. I think that this would be a great activity for me during the holidays, and to see if I really wanna pursue it even more.
